ASA has assembled a
comprehensive database of its clients, consultants,
and cases. All the data we collect are
carefully organized -- some of it stretches back
several decades.
One of our ongoing tasks is to make improvements to
the usefulness of this data in order to add value to
the service we provide our clients, especially in
these areas:
Making
Quality Referrals
ASA's primary job is the referral of experts to our
clients. Our proprietary database has been
refined to make this job more effective.
Here's how: ASA not only collects a wealth of
information about its experts, but about the
cases they work on and the issues they deal
with. We can search this
information using advanced data-mining techniques to connect you with the exact right
expert.
In this way, we can make subtle distinctions between
experts based upon many factors, among them:
geographic location; scheduling conflicts; experience in
testimony; percentage of plaintiff or defense cases;
experience with the subject issues of the case; and publications and
research pertinent to the case facts.
Case
Management
Our ability to effectively manage ongoing cases is
greatly enhanced by our database resources.
During a phone conversation, for example, we can
instantly call up relevant information about a specific case,
including activity and billing. This makes
interacting with ASA a snap.
Information Gathering
and Research
ASA conducts and catalogues
extensive research on experts, universities, areas
of expertise, business trends, and litigation.
Thus, not only are the quality of our expert referrals
improved, but we can pass along useful information to our clients
about a range of issues -- at no cost and often
during the course of a simple phone call.
